Upkeep

Thank you for purchasing my hand-crafted items. You will find upkeep and care instructions under the following categories.

Do not put in dishwasher, wash by hand in warm soapy water with a sponge or rag and dry immediately. If wood begins to “grey” or dry out, apply a food-safe wax to surface and buff to desired shine. Do not throw knives on a hard surface or into a sink as tip may break. To extend the life of your knife, use a wooden cutting board to keep edge sharp.

Oils and Waxes I use : 100% Tung Oil and Renaissance Wax

Do not submerge planters or allow liquid to stand for prolonged period.  Wood outside will weather over time, this is perfectly normal and part of the character of the wood. If the wood becomes dry, it is recommended to apply tung oil per oil manufacturer’s recommendations.

Oil I use : Real Milk Paint brand Outdoor Defense Oil

Do not put in dishwasher, wash by hand in warm soapy water with a sponge or rag and dry immediately. If wood begins to “grey” or dry out, apply a food-safe oil first and seal surface with a food-safe wax. Buff to desired shine.
